The Atlas Copco Theatre
The 125-seat Atlas Copco Theatre is equipped with the latest in high-definition digital technology - a venue that features exciting films projected on a giant 38-foot wide (22.5 feet high) screen with "next generation" HD digital images and resolution beyond anything else you can see anywhere in Northern Ontario. Gold Fever will be the debut film. This fantastic new venue is also available to rent for live presentations, signature productions, seminars and public lectures.

Gold Fever
Gold Fever is a film adventure that will take you from a helicopter ride over the Yukon mountains to a mile underground on a free-fall down a mine shaft. Live the drama and frenzy of the historic Klondike Goldrush and venture across the ocean to Western Africa where gold is not only a major commodity but a significant way of life...in fact, you'll see how the King of the Ashante tribe in Ghana wears so much gold, he needs help to lift his arms! Floating Granite Globe
Before you even get to these awesome new attractions, you won't be able to miss the new Floating Granite Globe in the newly expanded lobby. The coolest thing about it is that you can move this three-tonne ball with just one hand! How? Come to Dynamic Earth and find out! As it spins you'll be able to study a map of the world with Sudbury as a geographic highlight.
Gold-Themed Exhibits
Complementing the Gold Fever film are a number of gold-themed exhibits for visitors to 'mine'. Desire for gold is so deeply entrenched in the human psyche that most cultures have their own myths associated with this precious metal. From fabled King Midas to the poet Robert Service, gold fever’s been infecting the population for ages. What's the difference between real gold and 'fool's gold' (pyrite)? How much would you be worth if you were turned to gold? How did prospectors pan for gold? These are just a few of the fun 'gold-nuggets' of information you'll discover as you explore these exhibits.

Gold Panning
‘Pan for gold’, like a Yukon prospector, in a simulated multi-level ‘stream’ that allows for adults and kids to pan for gold simultaneously. There are real gold flakes for you to find - and keep as a souvenir of your experience at Dynamic Earth!
Midas Touch
Everything King Midas touched turned to gold. What would happen if he touched you? Find out how much the minerals in body are worth and how much you’d be worth if you turned to gold in this interactive exhibit.
Golden Rules: A Live Science Show!
Be amazed at all the properties of pure gold - learn about its malleability, ductility reactivity and density in this fun and interactive live science show. Did you know that pure gold will never burn up - no matter how hot the fire gets? That's just one of the amazing "Golden Rules" you will discover. See a 'rainbow of flames' as gold's reactivity is tested along with that of copper, strontium and magnesium.
